Reference scan records for locked out vehicles are retained, but the corresponding vehicle IDs are blocked and cannot be used for load measurement.

A ‘Lock Out’ check-box appears on the Edit Vehicle Record dialog for a vehicle selected in the Vehicle Database screen.

FALSE (default) Vehicles cannot be locked out
ForcePartnerIDPrompt TRUE Override any permanent pairing between trucks and trailers and force manual prompting for all trailer IDs.
FALSE (default) Do not override permanent pairing.
DisableIVP TRUE  This setting is ignored on trade certified LVS systems.

Disable detection of load generated visual pollution such as steam or dust.

This supresses VISUAL POLLUTION IN TRAY errors but may result in measurement errors where significant amounts of steam or dust are present above the load surface.

Use for lumpy, non-steamy material only.

This is equivalent to setting the ‘VisPollLevelThresh’ system setting to 0 but gives users the ability to enable and disable detection of load generated visual pollution as and when required.

FALSE (default) Load generated visual pollution detection enabled.
TestModeHTMLReport TRUE Publish a simple ‘high-resolution’ HTML scan report for accuracy testing purposes only.

The HTML report is available at:

http://X.X.X.X/current.html

where X.X.X.X is the IP address of the LVS.

Refer to the service-level support document LoadScan LVS – Functions and Settings for Trade Certified Systems for details.

This setting must not be enabled on trade certified LVS systems, except during accuracy testing.

FALSE (default) Test mode HTML report disabled.

Region settings

Region settings control region specific metrological characteristics of the LVS, including parameters for trade legal use in regions where the LVS can be certified for trade use.

This section lists all region settings that can be edited from the system maintenance screen (see Edit configuration settings). These settings can only be viewed or edited with Administrator level access. They should not normally require editing and are listed here for reference only.

General region settings for each region are grouped under section headings corresponding to the region name.

Region settings for trade certified systems are grouped under section headings that have ‘_Certified’ appended to the region name.

Any settings that are not present in a specific region section use default values.

Note that all volumetric values are in the specified volume measurement unit and all speed values are in the specified speed unit for the region.

Setting Parameter Value Description
MeasurementUnit m (default) Measurements are reported in cubic metres (m3).
yd Measurements are reported in cubic yards (yd3).
MinCapacity 0 (default) The minimum trade legal volume that can be measured/reported.
MinTrayCapacity 1.5 (default m3)
2.0 (default yd3)
The minimum empty bin capacity below which empty reference scans will be rejected as unsuitable.
Range1 999.0 (default) The maximum value for the first scale range.

This is the maximum capacity per bin if only one scale range is defined.

Range1Interval 0.1 (default) The step size (increment) for the first scale range.
Range2 0 (default) The maximum value for the second scale range.

This is the maximum capacity per bin if exactly two scale ranges are defined.

No second scale range defined if 0.

Range2Interval 0 (default) The step size (increment) for the second scale range.
Range3 0 (default) The maximum value for the third scale range.

This is the maximum capacity per bin if exactly three scale ranges are defined.

No third scale range defined if 0.

Range3Interval 0 (default) The step size (increment) for the third scale range.
OverRangeTolerance 0 (default) The tolerance margin above the maximum capacity per bin within which a measurement will result in a ‘LOAD OVER RANGE’ error but the measured volume will still be reported.

Above the tolerance margin a ‘LOAD OVER RANGE’ error will be reported with no measurement.

ReportBelowRange TRUE (default) If TRUE, measurements below minimum capacity will result in a ‘LOAD UNDER RANGE’ error and the measured volume will be reported as normal except that it will not show on printed tickets.

If FALSE, measurements below minimum capacity will result in a ‘LOAD UNDER RANGE’ error with no measurement.

TicketMessage Blank (default) An additional text message to be displayed at the bottom of every printed ticket if required.
ScreenMessage Blank (default) An additional text message to be displayed on the LVS operator console screen with every load report if required.
RefScanExpiryMonths 12 (default) The period in months after which a reference scan expires and must be updated.

An expired reference scan continues to work but a ‘REFERENCE SCAN EXPIRED’ warning is reported.

SpeedUnit kph (default) Minimum and maximum speed limits are defined in kilometres per hour.
mph Minimum and maximum speed limits are defined in miles per hour.
MinSpeed 0.5 (default kph)

0.3 (default mph)

The minimum vehicle speed during scanning, below which a ‘TOO SLOW’ error will be generated, and no measurement reported.
MaxSpeed 8.0 (default kph)

5.0 (default mph)

The maximum vehicle speed during scanning, above which a ‘TOO FAST’ error will be generated, and no measurement reported.
